Could be this week
Oh Monday.
Oh Monday! *dances* Yes, I am happy this Monday morning because it is my official start to maternity leave. Last week was a regular break (half term break at all schools), so while it was the start of my maternity leave in a sense, today is really the start because everyone has returned to work. It is also otherwise known as when my maternity pay starts to kick in and in 8 weeks starts to dwindle, eventually leaving me with nothing.
But, hey! EDD in two days. That’s something to be excited about right?
I just ordered this for Sophie for Halloween. Nothin’ like leaving it until the last minute.

Cute right? It will be here tomorrow, all ready for the fancy dress party at nursery on Wednesday. I wish we had somewhere cool to go to this year, like a real party on a Saturday night, but unfortunately there was nothing going on amongst friends.
Saturday night we did go out for dinner though to a buffet called Jimmy Spices. It’s a “world buffet” with many options including italian, chinese, indian, mexican, salad bar, dessert etc. I ate my weight in salad, fajitas, some indian starters and dessert (of course). It was delicious! We went to celebrate my nephews second birthday and my mother in laws birthday too. I kept joking that by the end I had about 8 pounds of baby and 4 pounds of food in me. I was stuffed. Sophie enjoyed herself as usual. She loves her cousins!
I think I might have mentioned this in my last post but I had been looking for a little gift for Sophie for becoming a big sister. She is all about baby lately. Can’t you tell?
I have a feeling I’m going to have a real little momma on my hands. We have had the car seat and bouncer chair out for the last couple of weeks and I’m hoping once baby really does get here Sophie gets the connection and thinks oh! baby really does go in there like mom said.
Anyway, the gifts!
..and in the box..
LOVE love love it. It is very toddler’ish… as in, not expensive, not white gold or anything like that .. but she is very into dressing up and jewellery and I think she will really like it. We’ve been reading the book non stop too. Once baby officially gets here we’re going to go shopping again for a gift actually from baby. Something Sophie can pick out on her own.
Well, i’m going to go relax! Or do the dishes, clean my floors, or laundry, maybe do some online shopping. hmmm.
Pics taken at 39 weeks. EDD- two days to go.

EEEEEK is all I can say! So exciting!
I love this part of the game! Also hate it….
So excited for you and your family! You look amazing too.
This must be such an exciting time! I love those big sister gifts – so cute! Good luck, and I hope everything goes smoothly for you in the upcoming days.
